The Lake Island Junior Rifle Club is for serious members who wish to learn and develop
their shooting skills in order to compete in local, state and national matches. Beginners
and advanced shooters of both genders, up to the age of eighteen, are welcome. Practice is held every
Wednesday evening at the Club's eight point indoor range in Carteret, under the guidance of qualified
and certified instructors. Training includes participation in the NRA and CMP qualification programs.
The Club competes in many prone and position matches throughout the year and goes to Camp Perry in Ohio
every summer for the National Matches. Juniors interested in joining an active competitive group of young
